I know it's already possible to make a range of interesting shapes but i think it should be easier than it currently is and we should have a range of default shapes available, this would go perfectly with the toolbox idea if you don't want to make lots of shape generators as you could have these as grouped modules made from combining various modules together ect. On the subject of the grouped modules they could show all controls on them and have a show controls on parent tick box so if ticked they show up on the main filters options and if not just when the grouped modules selected in the structure, this way you could have for example a star generator thats made up from something like curves and the kaliedoscope function, so just for this star generator you would be able to choose the amount of points and the curve of each section and that type of thing and you would have control values to modify them.

Hopefully the devs will implement a generic n-gon generator component (which could do star shapes as well) along with the particle bomber functionality. That way, we don't need to build subroutines for the most basic shapes but have them tidily combined in a single component.

Yes, I agree -- a NGon/Star generator is a must. |

+2 I have some methods in the works but they contain to many "rotation filters" ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Many on the shapes on the screenshot can be generalized as simple shapes with curve/gradient inputs for radius etc.
Shapes are definitely on the list. |

I know you can make all sorts of shapes, i still think have the basics would be cool though and make things way faster, unless you add the toolbox feature then we could make custom ones and store them and quickly use them again. Triangle, Star, Circle and Square/Multi point polygon would be helpfull though, although its easy to customize the frame module into a circle ect i think having a folder of default shapes would definately speed things up and also simplify structures too.
