Keep the existent offset component (for backwards compatibility)
But create a new one that simply has
offset (angle)
Percent

This will eliminate possible confusion of users having to use both x and y components

The control elements for both already exist

Also if you could allow component input in both for instance if I have a gradient for angle and a different gradient for percent.

This also leads to another possible control object
A hand that allows a user to select and area color or direction

Have access to any of 3 variables (x + Y) and (R,G,B)

P.S. as a side note a new gradient type would be most welcome
If we had an image component that could take an integer input to extract the colors into a gradient that you could then use as a color gradient source

example I want just the primary 3 colors I would slide the control to 3 and get the 3 primary colors for the image if I pick 7 I get the seven colors

I realize that this could be done with the scripting components and existent components
But part of the power of your software is the fact that these components (Pre-built functions) allow a user to click and drag without any coding experience.
lets all whine for a wine port
