While trying to adjust the sliders, I’ve wished I could just tap an up/down button to make it go to the next (whole?) increment. (E.g if the value is 50, if I tapped the up arrow button, it would then go to 51). This is because when I use the slider I always end up going back and forth trying to catch that next increment (but usually going too far).
(One question here might be what should the increment size be? (I imagine 1/100th (e.g. from 50 to 51) seems about right where 1/10th (e.g. from 50 to 60) or 1/1000th (e.g. from 50 to 50.1) may seem too large or too small…) Also it would then be nice to be able to click and hold the button down to have the slider scroll through the increments until the button is released. (The scroll bar on the right side of my windows would be an example of this. I can click and drag the bar up or down, tap/click the up or down arrow for an increment change, or click and hold the up or down button until it reaches the point I want.) I know this is just a minor idea, but it would be pretty convenient (for me at least). |

You can left-click on a slider or just click-drag anywhere on a slider, then use the left/right or up/down arrow keys. Works like a charm here... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Cool. The left/right arrow key thing was what I was looking for. Thanks, Crapadilla!

Just found out that one can also position the mouse anywhere on a slider and use the mousewheel to increment/decrement. Way cool!

All this is the standard behavior of the Windows slider control ![]() |
