Hey Everyone
![]() ![]() I would also like to see FF add reflection image options. As it stands now, you can not submit with any outside HDRI environments....so I'm stuck with windows, doors, people, martini glasses, etc. in the reflections (see image below) if I want to submit the filter..... Anyhooo, a minor detail in the sceme of things.... I'm still revelling in the fact that I can bypass C++ to make some nice filters..... Steve ![]() ![]() Steve

This is not possible for lighting, but for controls added by control components, you can (and should) use Remappers to limit the controls to sensible ranges. |

Yeah, I've been doing that.... The main reason that I wish it was 'possible' is for greater creative options with filters. For example, I just submitted a filter that primarily works only in the 'dark lobby' lighting environment. The 'Forest' environment can be adjusted for some nice effects, but I can not include it in the 'variations' without subjecting the user to all the other bad environments....
The ability to 'check off' the lighting lighting environments to be included in variations would help alot.... Steve ![]() Steve

When generating variations for presets, an option to restrict randomization to the default HDRIs delivered with FF would definitely be convenient. A customizable per-filter environment list might be something to consider as well for future versions. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

if i still had my website up, i'd just post the hdri's i've made there. but, they're too big to post here. they tend to run 1 or 2 megs, if i remember correctly, and that's if you use the recommended file sizes to do them.
i've suggested this before, but in light of this thread, i'll mention it again. if the FF site had an HDRI library, we could simply upload our customs the same way we do our filters. folks could then download them the same way and we wouldnt have to restrict uploading filters with custom HDRI's. and if the library was really 'smart', when you downloaded a filter that used a custom, it would also download the custom HDRI. and steviej, would you mind if i borrowed some of your recent 'glass' type images for making HDRI's? i've got a couple 'rainbow' ones currently, but yours might make for some interesting environments. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

No problem, anytime.....
You might like some of the lighting generated from my new "GlassWorxExtreme" filter. I posted some pics in the user gallery under "3D Slab-Glass Art". Steve

There should be someway to disable lighting for parts of the image.
Something that would let you mask out an area and have that part be treated like a simple filter. |

This should be done via a self-illumination map. Hopefully we'll add this in future versions. |

That would be a great idea....enabling to adjust/highlight/darken certain areas without affecting the rest.....that would come in handy....
