Color Control: Input Image as Source?

I've seen entirely too many effect filters that just outright use Color Control as the primary input instead of Image, or otherwise a situation has come up where I would want to use my image there.

It wouldn't be a problem, but I'm usually working on things inside of Photoshop and don't have the layer I'm working on saved to use as an external input.

This seems like it would be an easy thing to implement.
