I desperately need to be able to label or tag presets.. Seems the only work-around is for me to save a copy of the entire filter and rename for each unique setting that I wish to reuse.

The presets as they are now simply cannot be kept track of, especially with a complex filter that may generate hundreds or thousands of unique permutations using different settings..

Please can we have preset naming / tagging? I see this has been requested at least since 2007..

Thank you.

+1, I need this too.

It would be especially helpful if it could extend to the Filter Forge Command Line Renderer. I made a script for PaintShop Pro that uses the Command Line Renderer to apply specific filters when I click on a PaintShop Pro button with a script attached to it. Very convenient, but sometimes I want to run a specific preset. This is possible by number only, with 0 being the first preset, 1 being the next, etc. Unfortunately this doesn't work if the filter was updated and the order of the presets has changed. Being able to reference the presets by name would be a much better method. That way you could reorder them and it wouldn't matter.

Meaningful names also help categorize the presets, and make remembering the presets used a lot easier.

In addition to this, having text notes for the presets is also handy.

+1 If we can't assign a custom thumbnail to help us remember what we're using a preset for most often, then at least some tags for searching.
