Okay, I see FF v7 is now due soon(ish?). So, once again, I'll ask (cus I have to...) ... are there any animation features, yet?

I'll just assume the answer to that is still no. To that, I say, COME ON already... just hire a part-time programmer to put HALF A DAY of work into making it so I can enter 2 sets of perimeters into FF and output a series of files that tweens between the 2. (and yes, I know you can do that with some scripting, batch-file, command-line mumbo jumbo, or whatever, but I'm an artist, I barely know how to program my VCR. I want an easy UI built into the program).

Okay, I've said my piece, yet again. I'll check back (with credit card ready) when FF 8 is announced, I guess...

Thanks for your time.

I generally am not a programmer, nor am I really that good with doing scripts n stuff but in general I figured somewhat of a workflow to create animated filters. It's not that hard and the initial understanding is mildly required but once you have it, it's easy to construct little animated filters. I can run a little video tutorial on it if there's enough interest.

I don't think animating procedural networks is simple to begin with let alone the simple fact that most of filterforge isn't animatable. It's a very limited system for any form of animation. I don't think it's a fair assumption to say that adding an animated slider will likely get us closer. (Part of that statement seems to be a hyperbole heh). I also think that FF doesn't have stuff like temporal anti-alias, animation previewing, temporal effects, etc etc which can come essential to making a software that's animation capable. That can take years on end just making.

Here are some examples (scroll down for them)

By the way I should add that by all means I'm not trying to shoot the topic down! I'm waiting for some kind of animation function myself. smile:) The truth though is just bigger.
