I use ff mostly as standalone and it would be very handy when changeable DPI for export Bitmaps would be added to the user preferences setting.
This would allow to save always with needed DPI and skip an adaptation in another application. (I forgot to add this request to the last survey email ![]() Just simple, but not simpler. (A.E) |

I agree that it would be very handy and useful that FF can be configured the DPI settings for the standalone version
Also would be good that FF should Keep the same DPI as it already has when imported the image, because the result of any rendered result is always at 72 DPI independently of what DPI the source did have before Here are already some threads about this topic Search in FF forum for 72 dpi conversion of rendered result Alternatively now is possible and available two ways to solve this 1 - Use FF as a plugin, as it will not change the DPI or the colorspace, so it will keep the source data Here is more information difference of FF standalone and as a plugin 2 - The other workaround is that you can change the DPI later in Adobe Photoshop without changing the image resolution and quality, or maybe using another graphic software that can do the same thing |

Thank you for the fast reply!
I hope that we could skip this outside adaptation steps in a later version. It is very time consuming, when you want to do a lot of variations. Just simple, but not simpler. (A.E) |

Starting with version 8 Filter Forge retains the original DPI metadata.
