zooming in in the editor

i'd like one more zoom in level added in the editor. i constantly find myself trying to zoom in one more level to see just a bit more of the previews within the components.

one more zoom out would be nice also, but it's the zoom in that i really want the most.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Don't forget that the rendering time for the component thumbnails will quadruple -- they'll be 4x larger.

good point.

well, on slow filters that would be a pain. but on fast filters it wouldnt matter that much. i just find myself constantly wishing to be able to zoom in closer. i wouldnt care if the resolution were dropped quite on this extra zoom. i just want to get closer at times. 56k dialup 'accelerators' do this for images. they simply compress the data down by a fairly large amount to get the faster loading speeds. the same shld be workable in FF.

Just in case you didn't know already, in the editor there is a "Veiw->Thumbnails->Large" feature, which enlarges the components a little bit more (than the default "Medium").
Another help here may be the "Lock Preview" box (or double clicking on a component), so you can adjust one component and see the effect on another component in the larger preview box area.
And one idea I haven't resorted to yet is trying to reduce my monitor's screen resolution too.
But, yeah, I have thought a couple times, "What, I can't zoom in further?"
