Hi.

I'm new to the forums, but not new to Filter Forge. I have seen the discussions about making animations in Filter Forge and understand the issues make it very difficult. I am stuck on Windows and saw the "batch gui thingy" is not available anymore except for mac.

I make simple animations and most can be done in 36 frames (usually 10 degrees of arc in a circle per frame). Rendering all, and naming each, gets tedious. I know batch processing or a timeline with keyframes is not likely to happen, but if there were a way to set up each frame in it's own tab within Filter Forge, then tell it to "render all tabs & save images" that would be a huge step toward making animations easier.

It's the saving them all that would be the tricky part since each file would default to the same name (I think) (programming used to be a strong point for me, but my knowledge is WAY outdated and would not apply to modern software).

Meanwhile, I'll keep on doing it manually. But I had to ask if such a thing were possible!

Thanks for any feedback anyone has on this.

So... what prevents you now from exporting all your open tabs? Have your tried the File > Export command?

Thanks for the welcome!

I thought export still required manually naming each file. Maybe my brain is just getting old(er) or maybe it just used to be that way in The Before Time.

I'll have a go at it. If it requires manually naming each file when using the same filter on the same image with only parameter changes, then it misses the mark. If it does not, I missed the mark!

I suppose I should check before posting, but can't get to that just now.

I'll let you know what happens...

Well, I'll be Danged!

I could have sworn the Export feature opened the "save as" window for each file and we had to enter a name for every image!

I hope old versions were like that, or I mixed FF up with some other program and it stuck in my head that way.

Thanks for pointing out something I obviously had quite wrong!

Guess I'll go make another feature request and hope it's got as easy an answer as this one.

I actually like being wrong about things like this smile:)
