I have put this thread in wishlist because I do not think that there could be a possible solution of alternative using FF 9 or does someone could know an option 4 (there are 3 below) and may know how to do it in somee way?
I have thought that some filters are able to create different shapes or designs and the different variations and options are stored in the presets For example the awesome Heptaflower by Rachel Duim or The Living Shuriken by Ramlyn or any other many filters On the presets is shown what the filter can be able to do and I have tought that would be very good and useful if you could be able to.have a component with specific settings that could be able to feed or put presets into bomber or bomber plus It would be like a result component that could be connected to the bomber So this way you could use for example 5 presets 1, 4, 5, 8 and 10 (each one would be a separate component for each preset) to put in the 5 connections of the bomber WHAT COULD BE DONE NOW BUT IS NOT GOOD As far as I see it this idea could be done in two ways now in FF 9 OPTION 1 - MAKE A RENDER OF EACH ONE OF THE PRESET RESULTS INDEPENDENTLY AND LOAD THEM AFTER INTO BOMBER With this option you would need to make a render result of each one the presets you want to use and load them into color controls for the bomber, and is needed obviously to do it one by one or use the FFEasyRender2.0 or other batch tool This way you do not need to duplicate either the components or control settings, but of course you loose totally the configuration of the results that is the essence and reason of existence of FF, and the only possible alternative is to change add color adjustments to the color controls of the presets results that you load OPTION 2 - DUPLICATE ALL THE COMPONENTS WITH THE PRESET SETTINGS VALUES So if you want to keep the spirit of the FF and wanted to do this told above now in FF 9 1 - you could in the filter editor, go to the result component and choose the filter controls to choose a preset, so then all the components of the filter will change their settings according to the presets values 2 - Copy all the components of the filter and paste them apart and you could put a note telling what preset is this group of component 3 - repeat point 1 and 2 with other presets 4 - when you have 5 (or the amount you want) you can connect the last component of each group to the bomber or to a map switch for bomber plus There are 2 big problems with this 1 - RENDER SPEED REDUCTION - When you are copying all the components of the filter with a specific preset values, you are then DUPLICATING the filter itself so it will become slower and reduce the perfomance, and if you have 5 copies, then the speed of rendering would be reduced proportionally as all the components are active and working, so if you have 5, it would be 5 times slower 2 - DUPLICATED CONTROLS SETTINGS THAT MAKE A MESS IN SETTINGS PANEL - All the control components will be also duplicated and copied each time, so if you have a setting for rotation, if will be repeated 5 times and appear five times in the setting tab, and as there is no way to separate the settings in the panel by groups it would be a possible mess and be cluttered, Of course You cannot join the controls into one because they have different values unless there could be a way to use remappers to give the same value of the presets OPTION 3 - HAVE A PRESETS COMPONENT THAT COULD STORE ALL THE SETTINGS OF A PRESET In this way you could have a preset component that would reuse and do not need to duplicate the components or comtrols of the filter and the change in the settings tab would be applied proportionally in the same way that the remappers work and you could decide what controls you would like to keep and the ones not available in settings So this way do not have to duplicate all the components or controls as in option 2 Sorry for the long post but could not explain it shorter Thanks very much |
