Since long time ago I thought that there is something missing in the search of the FF Filters Libray but have not told it until now
Please, would be possible to search for PART of the name of filter and not having to write the whole of the name exactly? It can be made as you may think best, for example using a search wildcard, for example using Cel* and then all the filters that begin with this 3 letters would appear in the search instead of having to put Cellular or any other words Also happens when you do not know exactly what is the real correct name of a filter and only remember part of the name, and so you need to know exactly how it is written to be able to find it Or for example if I wanted to know all the filters that use Hexagons but the title does not contain the whole word, so for Example if I use Hex* it would appear all the filters that have Hex in the name as Hexaflake, but if I write Hexagon, only would appear the filter that have this whole word, unless the filter already has the word hexagon in the keywords Sorry that I have no idea how the search system works and how it does its work and how is programmed and what needs to compare the search with the possible database it has and maybe it can only match whole words and not parts of them. As far as I know the FF filter search works with the name of the filter and also using the keywords included in the filter Thanks |

I totally agree with this and would very much like to see this added as well. It would be most helpful, for me, when I don't recall the actual name of a filter but do at least recall part of it or, in some cases, just one word from the filter I'm looking for

From a little look see, this is what I think the search engine does:
1. Searches filter name, author, keywords and description. 2. Searches are implied AND, that is all terms must be on page to return result. 3. Some search terms are expanded with similar terms. 4. OR works. All special symbols like star and quote are ignored. Wildcards don’t work, but for example Hexa or hexag ... does work. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

It would be good that this also happens inside Filter forge and not only on the website
Thanks very much for this as I did not know that you can use AND and OR for search as this is useful and helpful in some cases Is true that the filter library seems to search in the 4 points you put on number one. About point 3, is right as I have seen that sometimes it search for expanded names related to the search |
