I don't know if this is feasible, but I'd like to see a little status box or a right-mouse-button context menu item that shows me how calculation expensive a component is - ideally it is updating in realtime depending on the settings I use.
The reason is that often there are more ways to get to the same effect and of course I'd like to choose the one that renders the fastest. |

In the meantime....
Anybody know which are the "heaviest" components? Thanks to a heads-up from Vladimir I got rid of some High-pass blocks and the filter really came to life. ![]() Any others? Rô _________________________________

Also setting the details and the roughness of the noise filters to 0 speeds up things considerably. Of course to use that option is not always feasible.

True. Especially for noises other than Perlin. |
