this one isnt totally necessary, but would be handy at times. i'll explain this in terms of what i ran across last night. i was using an offset on an image to move a portion of the image where i wanted it. i then did an effect on that portion. i then had to add another offset component with controls to move the image portion BACK to where it originally was.
the whole thing required two offsets and 4 controls, 2 per offset. this seemed a bit long and inefficient and added more controls on the GUI panel. what would have been more efficient would have been two offsets but only two controls controlling both offsets. but remapping wont invert the numbers on the 2nd offset. and there is no control/component for inverting sliders and other control components. so, i'd love to see either an 'invert control' component, or an invert added to the re-mapping. or, if i'm just missing something with re-mapping, then i'd appreciate being enlightened ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Post a filter example, maybe I can help simplify things.

ok, the simplicity of this is shown in the filter attached. there would be more in the actual filter this is used in than just the blend component there in the middle, but this simple filter shows what i want.
i want to offset an image, run an effect on it (the blend component in this case), and then offset it back to its original position using the last offset. i can do this ok, but it takes two sets of controls, one set in each offset. with an inverse control component or a more versatile way of re-mappping, i could lose one set of offset controls in the gui. in the attached filter i included a duplicate set of components using re-mapping. it's just not attached to the results component. i know of no way to remap in order to automatically re-center the image at the end. the idea is to automatically or manually put the image back to its original position at the end. for uber 1.ffxml If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
