Maybe it's time to add another tab where you have the Popular, Recent Submissions etc tabs, for Update Filters. This would allow the growing number of users of filterforge the stronger possibility of having there filter up for one day and not pushed to the 2nd page in over population, I'm sure 1st submitts especially would like to see there efforts. I would think people would look through all the tabs including Update Filters [ if included ] so the updaters still would get a viewing and possibly longer as there are fewer update filters........ what do you think smile:?: ........... Nice idea. Having a 'Recent Updates' tab makes sense, IMO. We would then have the 'Recent Submissions' for new filters only...

There is a potential problem with this:

Many new filters get updated quite soon due to community feedback. I updated my Aqua Buttons Galore 3 times now within 3 days, for example. In cases like these, filters would quickly move to the 'Recent Updates' tab, instead of staying on the 'Recent Submissions' tab.

I've done the same thing with Abstraction Painter - I'm uploading again tomorrow
I would think user would open the tab Recent Updates as much to check whats going on as Recent Submission - and to see the same filter appear as a update say three days in a row on recents does cut down the space for new releases and there first appearance time, even as I say, sometimes not even staying on the first page, being pushed straight through - it would also ad clarity to what's new and the ploy to get more exposure which may or may not occur, which I think if this happens wouldn't be lost anyway because user would still be checking the recent updates page, really with the possibility of longer exposure......... let's face it filter forge is a great program which as it gathers momentum will have a lot of users submitting filters........... mmaybe as an alternative to what I'm suggesting the Recent Submits could be made into a full page instead of a half page......... Maybe a solution would be to keep them in both.....by submission date in 'recent filters' and by submission date in the 'recent update'.....which would give extra deserved recognition for filters that have been improved.....

I also think it would add incentive for filtermakers to go back and improve old filters which otherwise might be left and forgotten in an evergrowing sea of filters. Further, it might help new filtermakers not to be misled by trying to submit filters just for the numbers in trying to get a free copy.....and put more emphasis on submitting more usable and popular filters to get the free copy.....

Do new submissions need to be approved before they appear on the Recently Added Submissions tab?

Dave S, ALL the filters submitted to the FF online library NEED to be approved by the FF team BEFORE they appear in the FF website, so when you submit your filter, it will take between a few hours and 1 day for it to appear IF it has been approved, if not you will get a message.

As this needs to be approved, must be on week WORKING days (weekend does not count), so if you send late friday, do not expect to see it until monday or even perhaps tuesday.

To be approved, the filter MUST follow this guidelines shown in this page here
