Yeah i agree, what i currently find quite annoying is that you have to click Edit > Edit Filter Info just to rename the file, it would be much better if you could just right click and select Rename as this would make things alot faster also the ability to re-order presets sounds like a great idea smile:D

I'm gonna add my vote to preset re-ordering.

Some method to quickly shift presets around so you can conveniently get the best of them to be exposed in the prominent first slots. Just worked on a filter with 33 presets so far, and it quickly becomes tedious. I would imagine something like the control re-ordering UI in the filter editor or the filter upddate floating window in the v1.004 main window.

Ah those little things...

drag and drop would be best. just right click, grab and drag to a new position would be best.

I agree, that sounds like the most efficient way of doing it.

oops, i mean just left click and hold, not right click. right click is already being used quite effectively.

Old topic, but I found it on the wiki, so I'll post here instead of creating a new one.

Add another vote to named presets. When using filter forge to render different game textures with the same filter, it would be nice to be able to name the preset to the texture name so it's super easy to pick the right one to make adjustments to. Also, named presets could be useful for submitted filters so new users have an idea of what the preset is intended to do (sometimes it's not obvious from the thumbnail).

100% agree!!
The preset naming AND drag and drop re-ordering would be so great...will help us keeping things much more organized...

I agree also 100% with you and all the other posts.

it would be nice if the maps of each preset would remember their own aa, resolution and clipping settings

thanks

Is surprising and amazing that in 2006, 9 years ago, uberzev started this thread to request the ability to name and re-order presets, and this was for FF 1.0, now we are already in the beta stages of FF 5.0 in 2015 and this is still not added yet to the features of FF

How is possible that is still not a priority in 2015?

Now there is already a new great and awesome filter manager for FF 4.0, and I wish and hope that then next step for FF 5.0 is to be able to include this much requested feature in FF 5.0

See also this thread LIST of threads requesting the naming, numbering and re-order presets

The link is direct to the latest post related to this topic and not to the start of thread

SHHH WAIT FOR IT.

smile:) I can wait for it if I knew that it will be really included in FF 5.0, and then I would not say anything else.

We have been waiting 9 years for this to be included, and I think that now that there is the new Filter Manager in FF 4.0 is time now to upd ate the Preset Manager in FF 5.0

Is not important and needed to be able to organize the presets of the filter?

I hope that Vladimir agree now to what he told once

3. If we decide to rewrite the presets UI, we will be doing that in one big chunk, not as a dozen of features scattered across releases. Naming / labeling, reordering (a.k.a. drag and drop), duplicating, indicating what prese t is currently shown in the preview, et cetera et cetera -- either we go the whole hog, or we don't touch it.
