I was just thinking that an area with all different kinds of 600 x 600, FF certified, guaranteed royalty-free, quality, no-depleted-area images.....might be helpful for filtermakers to use as test pics and for example postings.....especially for those who are just starting out.....and who can easily be misled to think that their filters are bad from using bad images.....
Just a little food for thought.....from what I unknowingly did to Carl by giving him some bad pics..... Steve

Also, it would be a good idea to allow filter authors to post their own examples based on these 'depot' images on the webpage of the filter.

we actually had some standard pics for a while, user submitted. there was my rose, the landscape one, donna's pic and i think one other. this actually made a decent assortment of test pics, giving a fairly wide range of hues, shades and various color mixes.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

good idea.....with the proposed "galleries" turning them all into their own little websites.....

Stock Exchange is an excellent resource!
I will submit a few of my test pics, any photos I post in this thread have been taken by me and I give permission for Filter Forge and it's users to use for test or demonstration purposes. I'm sure there are depleted area's  but I use a lot of different pics to see how the filter handles different situations. These are a few of the ones I seem to use the most...

Hi Sherry. Thanks for contributing your pictures.
Speaking of portraits and model releases, I double-checked some of the portraits I got from Stock.XCHNG. The poster gives permission for use, but the first few I looked at don't have a model release available. So now I'm not sure what to do. |
