I have noticed something while working with the tile component, for every repeat number (H or V) it will create 2 times the number of repeat H or repeat V respectively. I.E. repeat H and repeat V = 1 will give you a 2 by 2 grid, = 3, 6 by 6 tile grid, ect...
I have been working on a filter and I would find it extremely useful to be able to have an odd number matrix, 5X5 or 9X9. I don't know if this is already on the wishlist, didn't see it. Or if you can even do this; however, I think this would be a great addition to FF. |

Have a look at this one, for example, which clearly supports 'odd' tiling matrices. The trick is to leave the repeat parameter on the tiles component alone and control everything via the 'Size, pixels' slider.

That would work; however, if the tiles are not odd then my particular effect is ruined. So the scale would work if you got it right on a odd number; however, if you scaled to an even number the effect would appear poor at best.

I am still curious, if there is really a way to get odd tiling without using scale?
