here's a simple thing i think shld be included. it's just a housecleaning type function. sometimes when working on a filter in the editor, i happen to leave a component that is unconnected within the editor. sometimes i do this on purpose and sometimes not. for those times when i dont do it on purpose, there shld be a button of either 'find all unconnected components' or 'remove all unconnected components' or both.

i do NOT want this to be an automatic function when exiting the editor. i do leave unconnected components in the editor on purpose at times. this is because i fully expect to come back to the editor and do something else with that component or just because i want to keep it as a sort of reference item or placeholder or to remind me of an option i was trying with some function.

but, it would be nice to have this when i am all done with editing a given filter and want to just clean things up.

Yes that would be nice. In the meantime here's a workaround...

• Right click on the Result control
• Click Select Subtree
• Hit CTRL X.
• Hit CTRL A.
• Hit DEL
• Hit CTRL V

ah, how clever. contrl x is what, both copy and cut in one step?

i havent tried this yet, but

right click on the result control
select subtree
control c
del
control a
del
control v

might also work? ok, just tried it and it does. you can also use some of the things you mentioned and the right-click cut, copy, paste functions.

nice smile:)

Also, there is a hotkey for "Select Subtree" -- Ctrl+T
