As for the Submit Wizard, I think it's a good place for this functionality as well, because it will reduce the number of, uhmm, 'suboptimal' filters submitted to the Library.

Very good idea!!! I was thinking that a control and variant tester would be a great way to cut down the 'suboptimals'.....while also helping the FF submissions person to assess submitted filters. For example.....an author submits a filter and the tester shows that the "Size, Pixels" control breaks the effect. The author can either cancel submission and fix the filter.....or if they continue, the submission person can use it to catch the flaw and reject the filter.....thereby getting authors to fully test their own filters before submission.....and also raise the bar on the quick 'suboptimals'.....

i dont mind if you put all this in as long as you make a 'quick submit' too.
