i just ran into something when downloading a filter from off the forums here. i had FF open at the time and downloaded the filter into 'my favorites'. like a lot of other programs, this new addition doesnt show up in my the 'my favorites' list until you quit and restart the program.

therefore, if there's any way to 'refresh' the list of filters, while the program is running, that would be helpful.

i know the automated download from the server does this, so it would seem logical that it could be done when just adding an .ffxml file off the web.

Do you mean "my filters"? Actually, it does show up, but there is currently a bug in this code. It is already fixed, expect the fix in the next update.

Oops, looks like I misunderstood the question. It doesn't refresh My Filters if you added a filter there. However, if you open the filter via double-clicking its .ffxml file, it does refresh the list.

vladimir,

yes, i meant in 'my filters'.

and no, it doesnt refresh the list by double clicking on the .ffxml file in windows explorer. what it tries to do is start another copy of FF and you get a message saying that there is already another copy running and shuts the 2nd one down.

but, admittedly i havent tried to double click on the .ffxml in the browse options within FF, so, i'll try that later.

also, the 'locate file' option doesnt load anything. it just locates, so that doesnt work either.
