"Chat" String :)

I, for one, am guilty of "chatting" and goofing around on off-topic subjects in filter comments strings. I realize that this is taking away from new author's ability to get exposure on their filters.....considering that there is only one string in which to do it. On the other hand, I think the light-hearted banter keeps smiles on everyone's faces and helps promote an upbeat inviting "air" in the forum.....

With that said, I was thinking that an off-topic chat string might be a good idea.....or maybe a live "chatroom" with visable logins so everyone can see who is available to chat.....where everyone can go to talk about everything unrelated to FF.....and the "General Discussion" would be for topics related to FF that don't fit into any of the other catagories.....

You are right.....you did mention something to this effect previously.....and a very good idea at that!!!

I thought Craig also had a good idea about creating a 3D world.....where you could create characters and walk-thrus to demonstrate your filters.....have corresponding chat strings.....and an arena where you could equip your characters with weapons to "work out" dissagreements between authors.....J/K LOL.....

I do think things like this can sometimes add a desirable and inviting "character" and "experience" to sites.....
