This feature wish is maybe petty, and I’m not sure what is going on, but after I get home from work I like to go online and check out the FF forum but it is non-responsive/sluggish. (This is around 10pm to 10:30pm my time -- or 12am to 12:30am EST/NewYork time.)

I’m thinking this might be because the site is doing some sort of scheduled maintenance or something? If this is indeed so, is it reasonably possible to move the maintenance back a few hours?
(BTW, California (i.e. a place with a large population) is three hours behind New York -- where 9pm to 9:30pm is still somewhat “primetime”/popular hours…)

If the sluggishness is something else, then, probably, nevermind. smile:)

15 freaking minutes?!!! Hey, I’ve got places to go, people to see...!!!!!!.
Hah, not really – I just thought there might be a more ideal time for the back-up, maybe?… smile:)

I get the problem at 2:30 am. I'm on the west coast.

The backup is currently scheduled to happen at 5:00 AM for the east coast and 2:00 for the west coast. This is a bit inconvenient for europeans (10:00 AM for London), so we'll move the backup time one hour backwards.

Here's the timetable:

Well, it seems the back-up times haven’t been a problem for me then.

It is weird, though. Right around that 12am eastern (New York) time/9pm pacific (Los Angeles) time, the FF site would get totally unresponsive then a short time later be totally back to normal…

For me it seems to always be at 2:30 when it happens...I may be in the west coast Bermuda triangle. smile:D

It doesn't bother me as it is consistant and I know that it will happen, it just seems I always am about to post when I realize the time. smile:D

Yeah, it might be that Bermuda triangle thing -- but it does seem closer to the actual back-up time. I'm thinking I might be in some twilight zone... ...and having StevieJ corroborate only strengthens my suspicions. smile:)

Is this happening every night or only on saturdays? We have a very big, very slow backup scheduled at 2AM each saturday -- might this be the case?

For me it is every night at 2:30 am. It's only for about ten minutes or so, so it's not a big deal. I just come back later. smile:)

Same for me, but I've timed it and it will last 15 minutes. Waiting isn't a problem though... teaches me patience smile:)
