I don't know if this has been mentioned......but I would like a customizable color picker control where I can limit the color range or define the available colors.....so users can randomize the color control without getting any unusable colors.....

For example on my wood filters, I would like to limit the color range or have a predefined color palette so that users can only access colors that pertain to wood.....

yup, i've suggested this before, as well. i run across this all the time. do you put the color controls in the gui or do you use some fixed colors, that limits more than you want to, in the editor components? so, i'd like some controls there also. say, you might have a control limiter that will only allow a certain hue or brightness or even limit it down further to midtones of a certain hue. but more than that, sometimes i want two hues in one control, but not the others. this is often the case with water filters. you maybe want the whites, blues and greens, but not the reds, oranges and yellows. and then there's the earth colors, greens, browns, darker reds, and yellows. how do you knock out the blues and some of the brigher colors?

i know this would be a bit tricky and cumbersome, perhaps, but it is a needed control, especially when dilla is always telling me to limit my filters more smile;)

I was just thinking that having a customizable color palette (made up of different base colors you have chosen for it) and using a tint/hue slider to adjust the tone/shade of each color would do the trick nicely.....
