while in the editor, control z and control y are great. however, as soon as you save a new copy of your filter AND remain within the editor, the remembering of your undo's and redo's is wiped clean. even if you dont leave the editor, those are wiped out at the time you save.

i'd love it if these werent wiped out when you saved. and if that's not totally possible, at least if your undo's were still there up to the point of the save.

once you leave the editor, fine, flush the cache of undo's/redo's, but until then, i'd like it if a save in the editor didnt flush everything.

I would also like to see an undo within the rendering window. So if you are clicking random, random, random, random, random... opps the last one was awesome! You can hit ctrl z and go back to the last render.

you can already do that, redcap. just hit the 'back' button next to the 'next variant' button. ok, it's not a hotkey, but works just fine.

An actions tree would be excellent for stand-alone use......especially one that doesn't erase everything before a save..... smile:devil:

Sorry about that.....a visual command tree that allows you to see all actions/commands and allows you to pick a point to revert back to.....like PS......instead of having to keep blindly clicking undo in FF in order to get back to where you want......

I like this suggestion because I can't tell you how many times I've saved and regretted it afterwards..... smile:cry:

That's basically what you are suggesting, right??? .....and that the command history not be erased with saves.....which I think would be a great feature to it..... smile:)

well, all i was requesting was that the history not be deleted/flushed with a save within the editor. your suggestion of actually having a way to display and use that history goes a step further and is an EXCELLENT idea!

Good idea -- I've added it to our short-term list.

Does that include a visual command history for stand-alone......or is it something that wouldn't be considered since PS has it???

well, he did say 'the short term list', so, that might mean in an update, where we might get the whole history palette in a version 2? so, never say never smile;)
