It would automagically blend all inputs equally, no matter how many connected. It should also have at least 14 inputs.

ok, everyone else is wondering, so i'll ask... why not just use the multiblend with all the opacity sliders set the same?

Mainly since it only has 7 inputs and requires more tinkering to get the proper opacity when you have an arbitrary number of inputs.

(BTW setting all the sliders the same in multiblend definitely won't get you equal blending)

ah, now i get it. oh, and yes, you can set the sliders all the same at one, no, two settings and it will blend equally... 0 and 100 smile:) (i think)

hehe, like i said... i think. never truly tested it out completely. in which case, if you're correct, then i see your point for a true equal blend multiblend.

Are you talking about some sort of Multi Average component?

I believe I am. (I realize this can be done with multiblend but it's not ideal IMO)

Yeah it can be done with the multiblend, but it also performs alpha blending which I'm not sure is ideal for a "multi average" - shouldn't the alpha channel also be averaged?
