one of the things i've wished for in FF is the ability to save to a source automatically on rendering. in other words, i do a render with a filter and it would automatically save that render out somewhere of my choosing, including web pages.
there would be a paramters list for doing this. you could set it as fully automatic where every render got sent out, or semi-automatic where you just hit one button in the gui and it would send that render. you could set the .jpg compression ahead of time to a fixed amount, such that you could say 'save this as no bigger than 250k' or 'save and send this at X resolution' or 'save and send as image size X x Y' and so on.
in other words, i could set up a single machine with a single license as a sort of mini-render farm that would work automatically. so, in addition to the above requests, i'd like an automatic 'hit the random button on a continuous basis and follow the rest of the parameters'.
the set of send to sources would include printing. thus, one could not only set up a mini-render farm, but one could also set up a mini-auto-print.
vlad, i know you dont like to repeat in FF what can be done elsewhere, but there are certain things that shld be allowed in this. rendering and printing are two of those things.
it would also be nice to have some of those parameters set in a 'favorites' kind of style; hit one button and it sets up rendering and saving to a certain harddrive location. hit another and it might send it to the FF forums with the various limits imposed by this forum for posting images... and so on. i could then go to FF render out, say, my five favorite presets in a filter and have FF spit them all out to a given thread the forums. i wouldnt have to take each render separately into paint shop pro and save all over again in the 250k limit.
and with printing, this would save a lot of hassles of again having to open another program to do my FF printing. it just makes sense from my view and uses.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
