I work in game development, and FF features heavily in my texture and sprite content authoring pipelines. If I were able to save compressed DDS textures directly out of FF, that would be a huge timesaver. I know nvidia makes their nvdxt dds compression library available for use, but I don't know exactly what license they have opened the source under... whether that's useful for the FF devs or not, I also do not know smile:)

I second all the above. Also, might be nice to be able to write out multi-channel PSD files, with color, bump, normal etc etc. all in nice tidy layers in your PSD. Such as you can do with many 3D apps, even Vue6 infinite.

Hope beyond hope: support for the OpenEXR format, which can have multiple channels. http://www.openexr.com/

"In addition to the half data type, OpenEXR supports 32-bit unsigned integer and 32-bit floating-point data types. OpenEXR images can have an arbitrary number of channels, each with a different data type."

rgoer: why not write a pshop action or droplet to do it for you?
