Some textures/effects I don't want that the final user get to exchange It by using 'Size, pixels', 'Variation', 'Randomizer' or 'Seamless'. So, I think would be good if we could turn off each one of them. So, when the option is turned off the user won't get to use these option. They will be unavailable.

Sounds good, and I even have an idea where to place this -- "Filter Properties..." (the settings that control the blending with the original picture will also be included there).
However, the last one (Seamless) is problematic because everything in FF and on the website is based on an assumption that any filter can be seamlessly tiled. As we discussed in other threads, this leads us to a concept of non-seamless filters. |

Thanks Quasi.
- Cool, but don't forget Vlad, that needs to be into the Filter Editor, so, final user can't "access"/change these options on the settings tabs or other place. The only way user will get to active on again will be editing and saving the filter again. Something like that.
I think I didn't wake up yet. I didn't get that. ![]()
I didn't see this thread yet. Do you have the link to give a look? Well, if the author decides that it wouldn't be seamless, I think it would be allowed. Well, I need to check the thread 1st to see what was already discussed to get to give some opnion on it. ![]() |

Of course.
When you produce a filter with transparent areas, FF blends it with the original image, and this blending is different for different cases (texture/effect, selection/no selection etc). All this is currently handled automatically, but can be made 'visible' to filter authors. |

Time to embrace the concept of non-seamless filters Vlad. Its a brave new world.

Oh Yup, I saw other day that. I mean, the thumbnail gets transparent, but the final results shows the original image even not using the external Components. |

I don't want to start yet another square-and-seamless-bashing thread - just stoke the fire a little more.....
If that had said "the best seamless square textile generator.....", nobody would be complaining - however, as advertised, it's difficult to reconcile the promise with the restrictions imposed. This is meant to be constructive criticism, OK? ![]() Rô _________________________________
