A HUGE aspect missing from Filter Forge (and many other graphical apps) is a direct copy to clipboard. Having to save out to a file or needing a bridge component is problematic when a desktop is already too messy or you're in a specialized app that doesn't have a bridge.
The solution: Copy to clipboard Residing in the Edit menu on OS X, this little function would put the rendered filter directly from Filter Forge into the clipboard as TIFF data. Implementing this will improve usability as well as speed up a production workflow! ![]() |

uhm, are you talking about a finished render or something else?
in the editor, you can cut and paste components, however large to other filters, too. that's in the pc version. but, i'm thinking this is not what you're talking about. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Yes, I'm just talking about the finished render. I don't see a way to do it in the Mac one (and if it's there, it isn't obvious enough!)

if you use Filter Forge in the plugin mode, you just get the rendered image in your host application (under Mac, only Photoshop is currently supported). Photoshop allows you to copy the image to the clipboard. |

I don't want to use it in plugin mode all the time. There are some other apps I use (Quartz Composer being the big one) that won't have the bridge. |

Good idea, I've added it to the list.

I thought I already requested this but +1 anyhow.
Also: It should copy the image AS IS, you shouldn't have to wait for the render to finish. |
