Hey: know what I'd really like in FF? A component which just samples a color at an X,Y position, and gives you a color. One which doesn't break if the image is non-square, and which doesn't change other things into slow bitmap components.
Something similar to Mike Blackney's Pixel Color http://www.filterforge.com/filters/6791.html But this technique has the two drawbacks listed above. Another thing which would be useful would be an average color component. This would be of input green componenets, NOT just of an external image. If this had curve inputs for the X and Y it could be a very flexible component, and would do everything described above. Having curve inputs would allow you to specify exactly which area you are interested in, and could be easily controlled by an Impulse Curve, and a slider for X and Y. |
