Why is the Mode property of the Image component not published so we can hook up a control? That property is a useful option when working with transformations

Yes (no need to implement as filter): you want to position/transform the image as is (and not repeating) somewhere on the "canvas". If you set the image to particle mode, it is not repeating and it saves you the mask setup. Now in some filter where this is an essential part of its function, you might want to have that option as a published control for the filter.
If you want a real example, check out my Projective Transform filter Here I had to implement the clipping option in the script, because I couldn't hook up a control to the Image mode parameter Btw whats up with filling the aa zones with noise when the image is in particle mode? |
