Say I want to make a new filter via the tool bar. I have to peform three steps.

1. Click the "Filter Editor..." button
2. Select "Create a new filter"
3. Click "Open Filter Editor"

It would be much quicker to just have seperate buttons for "Edit Filter" and "New Filter" on the tool bar.

I know I could just use the keyboard commands but I'm lazy sometimes. smile;)

You can double-click on "Create a new filter" or "Edit filter" radiobuttons in the "Filter Editor" dialog.

Use the hotkeys (Ctrl+E = Edit, Ctrl+N = New) -- they're a lot faster. I use them all the time, I never click the toolbar button.

And yes, like onyX said, you can double-click the radiobuttons in the toolbar dialog.
