I have tried now after installing FF 3.0 Beta the new Built-in images previews offered as alternatives to the usual lifesaver and think that this is an excellent and very useful thing and now is REALLY much better to preview filter effect with other textures, colors and shapes that have the beautiful bult-in images, in my opinion this is really a very welcome feature and great evolution.
Now I think that the hard work and effort of Filter makers will be done justice and show much better their nice work and test it in very different kind of images and could give you a much better idea of what to expect from the possible results of other images that you could have. Also is very good to have the transparency option which is also very interesting and useful I decided to put this thread after testing the beautiful and awesome Tron 2.0 Legacy filter http://www.filterforge.com/filters/9559.html If you download this filter and choose any of the new previews you will be able to see how different effects can be using this filter depending of the preview image choosen. Also I love and like very much the beautiful art made by the Layered Tiling filter and now testing with the new preview images gives a much wider and greater potential of what could be possible done and how affects the textures and different colors and even also, with or without transparency. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/8767.html And many other filters that get real benefit from the new built-in images Thanks very much to Filter Forge team for this feature. |

I agree it is really great to have new preview images to test effects with.
![]() It makes it simple to know if a effect will work for multiple inputs also, sometimes in the past i have made effects then later loaded other images only to find it just worked well on one image. Now all you have to do is change the image which is quick to do and the images are a good range to test with also. If you wanted you could also have this above the preview image as a dropdown list also with forward and back buttons to quickly toggle through them. That is just a quick idea but using the File menu is still really fast and works great so there might not be much point. |
