ok, i just got this idea and thought i'd share it. what if, for the new multiple image input stuff, we could draw fr om just about anywhere to import these images. i mean, why lim it this to just our own computers? why not also draw from the web? in fact, this makes a LOT of sense from one viewpoint. i could include a stock photo with a filter and upload it to the library if this image was on some place like the morguefile. others would then load that image directly from morguefile, too, when they loaded and used that filter. you could even do remote access to other folk's computers (lol. yeah, like that's going to happen). but, the potential is nonetheless there.
now, i do understand this is a bit of a pipedream due to security issues, copyright issues, deleted images off the net and so on. but the potential is fairly incredible.
so, putting the second paragraph with the first, let's look at one more idea. what if FF, inc. had a photo library, free, stock photos only. one could upload one's images directly from one's own computer to this library for use by anyone, particulary for use in filters as imported images. it would have it's own eula stating basically that these photos, if uploaded to this library are still the property of the uploader, but that the uploader grants free use to anyone within filter forge.
now, i know this could be potentially risky, too. we dont, all of us, always watch those pesky little copyrights and the risk, of course, becomes uploading images that arent one's own copyright. still, i think this idea is worth looking at.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
