I have had an idea after looking at the wonderful and awesome filter of CFandM Bombs Away Multi Images
Now that is possible to have multiple images in FF 3.0 and now that CFandM has released this amazing filter that lets you have a sea of multiple images at random places multiplied I have the following question: Could the result of this FF 3.0 filter be saved as a PSD file with layers? I mean that each of the resulting single images of the multiplication could be assigned a different layer in a Photoshop PSD file, so you could load this PSD file and be able to change each of the images to the place that you could really want or need. INDEX TO THIS POST
FROM WH ERE I HAVE GOT THIS IDEA ??? SHAPE COLLAGE SOFTWARE To give a short explanation of what I am talking about, just go to this page link and look for the "Save as Photoshop PSD + Manually Edit" part and hover the mouse over the question mark and will appear a example animation. Well, I know the software called www.shapecollage.com wh ere you can have a similar effect in some way to this Bombs Away filter BUT is not the same, as you DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTROLS over the image as it happens in the FF 3.0 filter. Well you can have only the controls of the spacing between images, and how many images to be reproduced and included and the size of them, but then it is very random made according to the choosen final size of the result.
The shapecollage can put lots of different images in multiple ways at random BUT if you do not really like the result given, you can save the result that fits more near to what you want in a PSD file with layers and so you can load it inside Photoshop and be able to change every single image in any way you want, move it, rotate it, delete it, put it up or under, delete parts, etc... USING PHOTOSHOP BLEND MODES TO MIX THE MULTIPLE IMAGES RESULT If you have the result of FF in PSD with layers of each of the images, you can use in Photoshop any of the many blending modes to each layer to create special effects in the mixing of the multiple images, you could give the same blend mode to all the layers, or sel ect different blend modes to each layers depending on the image result, and so you could have an infinite potential to make collages and mix in many ways the resulting images. Here is how Shape Collage works http://www.shapecollage.com/help MIX THE GREAT SHAPE COLLAGE WAY OF MAKING PSD FILES WITH THE GREAT FF 3.0 BOMBS AWAY MULTI IMAGE FILTER TO GET MUCH WIDER CONTROLS AND GET EVEN BETTER RESULTS It would be really lovely if it would be possible to be able to have the result of this filter with a export to PSD with Layer files and have all the controls that CFandM have put in his filter, so you could have a really awesome and useful tool for very creative works that could be customized very much and in whatever way you want between photoshop and Filter Forge. THIS COULD A VERY BIG THING FOR FF AND A VERY INTERESTING WAY TO USE FF AND PHOTOSHOP IN A NEW WAY I hope that there could be some way that this could be done in some way with FF and that it could be able to save the result in PSD with layers which could change very much the way artworks are made. ALSO COULD WORK IN OTHER FILTERS LIKE "CUT IT OUT !!!" BY CARL AND CONVERT IT TO TRUE MULTILAYERED I also think that probably and perhaps could be possible to give the possibility that the author of the filter lets that the layers of his filter creations be saved as PSD files with layers. The best example I have found and can give is the excellent and wonderful filter of CUT IT OUT !!! by Carl that I love very much. The Multi Layered cutout result could be really TRUE MULTILAYERED and when saved as a PSD file with layers, all the beautiful layers created by the filter could be changed and modified inside photoshop as you wanted. ALSO ON THE AMAZING "JIGSAW PUZZLE" FILTER BY INUJIMA COULD BE GOOD TOO Anothe example of a filter that could benefit possibly fr om saving the result as a PSD file with Layers would be the awesome and creative filter of Jigsaw Puzzle made by Inujima http://www.filterforge.com/filters/9792.html The puzzle pieces could be made into layers and could then after be modified, moved, rotated or placed in different ways inside photoshop. AND WHAT ABOUT THE EXCELLENT WORK OF FILTER "RUN CIRCLE CCX 07" BY CORVUSCROAX ? What if the really beautifull and lovely designs made by the very creative Rune Circle CCX 07 made by CorvusCroax could be made that it could made those wonderful designs in different layers and be saved in PSD with Layers and so this could be mixed with textures, and apply blend modes and different effects to each layer ? This would be really awesome and rise the filter to an even higher level of excellence FILTER MODIFICATIONS I know that the filters would need to be modified by the author if he wants that this feature of layers would be available in his filter, and would be his own choice to do it or not. |

I think I have found an answer to the question in the title of this thread in the FF wiki in the FF wiki here
If filter Forge is still using the Photoshop SDK 6.0, probably will also not be able to save a result of FF in PSD with Layers. I know it can´t be compared, and is not the same thing at all, but I think that it could be a lim itation The only one that knows if really would be possible is Vladimir or any of the coding team person from FF, but they are busy and will not come to the forum. |
