hey filter forge folks!
i´m still in demo-mode - 6 days for now on - and just want to give my 50 cent of feedback. first - best tool, filters & community of texture- and filter-generator around! already used darktree some years ago. currently my use of ff is more for texture generation then as a filter tool. so, here are my wishes: 1) i´m working on differnet places & desktops all the time. so - would be great to have a kind of cloud to synchronize your filter library automatic. 2) i agree to some posts before. organizing your filter is a must! 3) for motion graphics stuff animation would be very cool! darktree already had this function. 4) direct buttons for all the render maps to switch. just a little timesaver. 5) think you have some game artists around here. darktree had/has another absolute cool feature. you could give it an uv-map of an 3d-object and it rendered out the image in a seamless perfect fit! check it here : http://www.darksim.com/html/dt25_texture_maps.html that´s it for today! ![]() |

shenom, you can synchronize %AppData%\Filter Forge 3\System\Library\ and %AppData%\Filter Forge 3\My Filters\ with your favorite cloud storage.

thx gmm!
great to have direct feedback of the developers! right now i´m using dropbox as the only "cloud" service. herefor it´s not possible to select any folder of your system to be synchronized. maybe i check some other solutions... anyway - would be cool to have an onboard solution! best! |

I don't personally use Dropbox: it's strange they don't allow to backup arbitrary folders. You can probably symlink the Library and My filters folders with your backup folder.

Yes, you can use symlinks to any folder with Dropbox. There are a few utilities - services and such - for the Mac that allow you to create a symlink. I use symlinks all the time.
Note that Dropbox does not officially support symlinks, however. |
