Hello,
In my search to find a way to be able to organize and be able to remember the filters I already have downloaded I have thought of another solution, BUT also is not possible with FF 3.0. Please, I want to make a list with all the FF filters I have stored in my own FF filter library.
THINKS I HAVE ALREADY THOUGHT AND DO NOT WORK 1 -USING LIBRARY FOLDER NOT POSSIBLE You can´t go to the filter library folder and print a list of that because they have NOT the real names, and would be good if the filters in that folder could have a thumbnail but of course Windows does not recognise .ffxml files so it can´t make thumbnails. 2 -USING FILTER LIBRARY BROWSER INSIDE FILTER FORGE APPLICATION Well I do not have the names, but can have the thumbnails ordered in a grid in the Filter Library browser of my own FF, BUT I found that you CAN´T view ONLY the filters that you have already downloaded, you can HIDE the filters you have downloaded but not the inverse ![]() If I could view ONLY the filter I have downloaded and stored in filter library I could make a screenshot of the screen and print it then after, BUT IS NOT POSSIBLE Also of course neither the Filter Browser nor Filter forge itself have any printing feature. 3 - USING THE NEW RESIZABLE WINDOW TO SHOW A BIGGER LIBRARY Well, there is really a place that shows ONLY the filters you have stored and downloaded and that is the Filter Library itself that is shown on the left side panel. Now with the resizable window you can make the filter library bigger and could show the filters in a grid that is adapted to the available size like it happens in the presets, BUT again this is not possible because the filters are kept still in the vertical list and do not get reorganized as it happens with the presets, so you CAN´T make a grid view with the filters you have. 4 - IF HAVE RUN OUT OF IDEAS OF A WAY TO BE ABLE TO PRINT A LIST OF THE FILTERS I HAVE STORED IN FF IN FF there is no Export feature or anything similar, so I can´t think of any other way to do this. Thanks very much |

And of what use would such a printed list be, if I may ask?

Of course that you can ask this, and I can answer that such a printed list would be very useful to know which filters I already own, and can choose very quickly the one I want to use looking at the effect the filter can make and can make comparison between the filters thumbnails. Also If possible I could make printed list of the categories and could see them ALL at the same time in many sheets of paper. Also the printed kist could have MUCH bigger thumbnails (you could enlarge the printed VS the screen shown resolution) and so you do not have to have an excellent eagle eye for looking at those very small and tiny less than stamp sized thumbnails that are in the left side filter list. OPTION 1 IS NOT USEFUL Is true that making a TEXT filter list of all the filter you have is not useful and nearly pointless, the only use this could have is to know if you have downloaded already a filter or not, but really is not interesting to make this kind of text only list. BEST CHOICE TO MAKE A LIST IS USING OPTION 2 |

Now one month after, I want to request this once more
If only the JUST include an option inside the Filter Forge Library Browser that would be "Hide NOT downloaded filters" so it would show ONLY those filters that have been ALREADY downloaded, it would really be very easy to make a list with big thumbnails of all the filters you may have. |
