Hi!
After using Filter Forge for few days now, here are things that i would like to see in future updates (in this otherwise excelent software!!!).. RENDER REGION.. My textures get really slow really quick.. i know that with clever use of nodes it would be posible to use only half of what i have, and it would render twice as fast.. but im not clever ![]() ![]() CUSTOM RENDER OUTPUTS.. It would be nice to have few custom inputs under curent RESULT node outputs.. Surface Color Height Reflectivity Reflection Blur Metalic and then Custom 1 [insert custom name here] Custom 2 [insert custom name here] ... those custom inputs to the RESULT node would be ignored by Filter Forges preview renderer, but would show up in the menu Filter > Render maps > Custom 1, Custom 2 etc.. then i would be possible to do separate textures for displacement map that would have bigger features, and bump map that would contain high frequency noise, for use in 3d.. it would be also posible to render different masks for later compositing.. Usefull i think ![]() Thats it for now.. i know i have few more, but theres so little time and so much things to try in Filter Forge!!! Later, Oskar |

I've added these to our long-term list. Also, there is a workaround for the 'render region' -- you can zoom in on a region you want to see quicker (Filter Forge always renders visible blocks first).

Lovely idea! That would be a terrific feature for all those complex layered shader fanatics... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

good and useful idea that 6 years later is still "in the list"
