I recently made a filter that I thought would be great to blend using two sources but unfortunatly I had to do most of the work outside filter forge.
A browse component for additional image sources would be nice

Angle option for all the noises For instance My filter alien muscles is horizontal but lets say you wanted to use it for a slime tube in an engine like doom3 well most likely your going to want vertical allignment. You could rotate the image after generation but you cant do that with normal maps. The problem is that cells and chaffs etc dont have an angle option so in order to set the angle I have to borrow a rotation snippet. This breaks the seamless portion 50% of the time

Scaleable panes within the work enviroment
quite often when I have selected my filter or someone elses that has alot of controls it would be nice to scale the control window larger while I work with that filter this would also allow me to enlarge the controls section to read control names that get cut off

THis isnt something I need but I wonder if it would help new folks in development
quite often when you look at a highly complex filter it takes a while to trace down all the connections maybe if you animated the connecting line with scrolling arrows to show the dirrection of connection it might help them??

Curves , whenever you seem to do anything hightly complex with curves at least with me the machine seems to come to a grinding halt
example using 3 different noise sources to alter the curve profile

64 bit binarry Most likely your greatest base of users will have migrated to 64 bit within the next couple years
Gamers --since they allways are upgrading to keep the edge
and graphic artist will see the benefits of this to
A 64 bit binnary would probably speed up the filter alot for those folks running 64 bit

a sneak peak into the next incarnations additions
for instance I might be bloodying my head by bouncing it off the wall trying to figure out something you've allready implimented

clearer indication of wether were getting cut off in development or not with approaching dates
I currently have 72 filters in the works but Im hessitant if I should bother to conclude them or not since I dont know if I'll get cut off mid development

Seems like there'll just be another demo in November, updated with bug fixes probably. Have you officially joined the beta team ? If not, you should probably do that, I would assme that allows for a person to continue using the demos non-stop until the final release. smile:)
