It would be nice to have a Local Variant component.

You plug a component tree in and choose a seed. That way you could have different variations of the same component tree without the need of several component trees.

Each component with a Variation slider should have two checkboxes:
Allow global Variation (User controlled fr om the top level ),
Allow local Variations.

A local randomize control would be useful, too. Connect it to another control and if a component with such a control "flows" into a Local Variant component further down the tree it can be randomized. (Within the limits and remapping of the parent control.)

Perhaps we then would need the ability to hide controls from the user, though.

This might be computational overkill, but what if components like Bomber or Kaleidoscope had a checkbox to activate Variations of source components. So if Bomber places 10 particles, each will be a different variation of the source.
Edit: It might be enough if those number of variations had a hard coded lim it of 10 or so in order to avoid total overkill. If Bomber places 500 "particle 1"s it would randomly choose from those 10.

Perhaps the local randomize control could do all the remapping by itself. That way it wouldn't need the normal control.
