Tested the newest update and did some non-destructive testing...
Was just curious on how FF would act with the wrong serial so I used the wrong serial....Upon using this I was able to get the crash reporter.... Note that FF does bring up the crash reporter when you are in FF.....But when inputting the serial through the splash screen it gives a error dialog...... I am submitting a bug report as well but to reproduce use the old beta serial number...Once the splash screen comes up choose to enter the serial as the selection....Once that is done you should get the message below....  Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Heres the important part......Click OK "Do not Change anything Leave the name and Number there" and then click the Ok once again on the Enter License Key box...This is the point when the error box should pop up....

To make the Bug Reporter come up with this error message close FF and start over.....Upon the splash screen choose to use the 30-day trial.....When FF opens choose to enter the serial key....Follow the same steps as above and the bug reporter will pop up this time.....

So with these steps you should click the ok on the Enter License Key dialog twice..once to bring up the wrong key error and then one more time to make the error/bug reporter show its face....
One more test shows that you can put anything for the name and key as long as there is something there.....I used asdf as both the name and key.. Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Sadly, this just happened to me trying to input my VALID key. ;( I'm dying over here. Really need back into my FF. ;(

@GMM: In my desperation I went back and re-read everything yesterday, saw that, sent the request, and am patiently awaiting my new serial.
Sorry for the useless post. I just didn't even think to use the 30-day trial on something I already purchased; just a new concept to me is all. Thanks much for your response on this, though. |
