  • Basic components
... read is this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingbat "Crapadilla wrote: including this component of course means that FF must learn how to sample vector shapes. But think about the possibilities. Photoshop lacks a particle system and sprinkling text or dingbats over the image or certain parts of it... that's powerful." hehe Photoshop lacked a good text tool for a while also... This is starting to remind me of the "Hose" in Painter.

  • downloading from a mac
Author: Kraellin. bella, that's a great gesture. i've read several posts in the forums from folks that have FF installed on one computer, but not the one they use to connect to the internet. it might be a good thing to add a filter text file download to the normal download area so that others could download the files without having to use FF and they could then just put the text files on a disk and move them to their other computer. might save some posts and work in the long run....

  • Typography Modules
Author: SpaceRay. "ThreeDee wrote: Well it took some work, but I have successfully made a font with modifiable characters and, even better, custom text input capabilities!" I am sorry but this example does not show HOW this works, and what you have done, so please could be possible to have more details? What do you mean with CUSTOM text Input? Sorry, I am not saying that is not true,...

  • Will Ultraforge Engage in Censorship?
Author: Eric Edelman. While testing the current Photoshop Beta, which introduces the Generative AI Fill feature, my text prompts were censored on two occasions. PS Beta informed me that my prompts "violated Community Standards" and that they were blocked. I was unaware that Adobe had cast itself as a social media entity, implying that a "community" ...

  • Typography Modules
Author: SpaceRay. "Morgantao wrote: Ummm.... Do we have any kind of confirmation that FF4 will have vector support? Or font support for that matter? And if there's a font support, we will need a text input module. You really think it will all be in FF4?" Well, I remember Vladimir or GMM have already told that Vectors will be supported on FF 4.0 and then they could also put text support. Why would not be all in FF 4.0? I think ...

  • Unicode and Text component
Author: Rachel Duim. On the Mac (latest version of Sonoma) the character field of the Text component in FF14 does not accept Unicode without crashing. On the Mac you can add Unicode Hex Input as a optional keyboard (System Settings/Keyboard/Input Sources). As an example, with this keyboard you enter Option 00BC to get this (¼) in TextEdit....

  • Be able to group, order and organize filter settings with header text
... components inside a filter Well, now I am suggesting to be able to do the same BUT for the filter settings panel, I mean that you could be able to choose and select a group of settings and then click a button to group them and write a one line header text of what this group does and the purpose This way you could organize and order controls by topic and would be easiy to separate settings and show what they are for

  • Looking for snowfall filter
Author: EAdams. xirja, the new filters apply the affect perfectly to the whole text now! It was very interesting to me to examine the components used in the FF filters to create this effect. It took a lot of time and creative energy to make these filters, so I will make a point of using them instead of using alternate methods ...

  • Will Ultraforge have vector font compatible for text or using fonts?
... architecture does not support any kind of vectors So, the main question is IF inside Ultraforge you will be able to import opentype or TTF fonts to be used inside a Filter and be able to use individual letters inside a design or maybe build words, or a text So, I suposse that question is IF there be any node to import vector fonts. Thanks very much and wish all the best fir this project

  • Typography Modules
Author: Morgantao. ThreeDee, I had the same idea as you, especially after seeing how CFandM did it in his "The Numbers Game" (http://www.filterforge.com/filters/10265.html) filter. The only thing is, as you said, you can't input text into FF in a simple way. Perhaps you could use a script component that reads a text file from a pre-determined place on the hard drive. I don't think that script would be considered safe, so you probably couldn't upload the filter to the library ...

  • How to use AND MODIFY sliders and color controls INSIDE groups?
... inputs, Filter Forge uses Control Components, which now serve a dual purpose: in addition to their usual role of defining filter controls, they can now define group inputs when placed within a group:" This does not help much, but in the other text "To define the inputs Filter Forge uses Control Components, which don't show up in the Settings tab but specify group inputs when placed within a group:" I see this text telling that you can use control components inside the group ...

  • QUOTE not working in forum when clicking in a post to copy the text
... that there is a message when you hover the cursor over the Quote link Lie I said in the same way from my answer also in 2011 :D " SpaceRay wrote in 2011 So you can´t click over "quote" and it will automatically copy all the text, but I think that I don´t mind and it´s not a problem really for me to select the TEXT you want to quote BEFORE making click over "Quote" link. So, I think that this is a very good solution that solves the problem "

  • Glossy Bevelled Text
Author: Biomechanic. Hi There I wonder if anyone can help... Is there any way of creating a filter that when ran on a text selection, would give similar results to this filter Grarbanzo's Kromatism Filter (http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4129.html) By similar, I mean the glossy bevelled look, not the kaleidescopic elements What I want to be able to do is ...

... You offer "Definitions" of what is an "Insubstantially Modified Image" without offering any definitions of what would qualify as a Substantially Modified Image that would presumably pass your test of a permitted use." The text doesn't contain any references to a 'Substantially Modified Image'. Therefore, no need to define it. • New awesome TEXT component FF 14 - How to get the most of it?
... that is made with StevieJ's NeonFluorescence, so here I have found another different way and is to use this filter Thick Outline Snippet By Malkyne (https://filterforge.com/filters/6460.html) You need to use this filter BEFORE feeding the letter or text string from the text component as you can see here below You will not have maybe perfect sharp edges (depending on settings) with some blur gradient but is better than what you have with the default StevieJ's NeonFluorescence
