    Author: Kraellin. ok, i saved out an image from Ronvier's 'Birth of an Orb' and sized it down to 400 x 200 and rotated it 90 degrees, saved it as a .jpg and then renamed it to an .exr. i then imported it into FF's HDRI import to make a lighting environment of it. attached is the image used. the render time shld be under 10 minutes on this one.

    ... long delays with FF4 and CS6, and am now working on CC2018 and FF7 so will keep an eye on it and see if I can reproduce. I may be wrong but FF7 seems quicker when processing the layer data, but slower to finish up, but as I say I'm in a new operating environment so will see if a pattern develops.

Kraellin. the recommended way to back up your filters is to copy the entire filter forge folder found in c:\documents and settings\youruseraccount\application data\ . that will back up all your library filters, caches, thumbnails, and My Filters along with environments and all inputted data which isnt actually the program itself, except maybe the keycode, which i think is stored in the registry.
