FF could have an official collection of rendered textures with any special offers like discount for next updates (for program and collections) for their customers. This copyrighted collection could be done from the main (factory) presets from the FF Library and exclusive variations. Copyrighted factory presets will not allow to resell them (as minimum without a link to FF).

Filter Forge is a product which pushes the boundaries of copyright and patent law. Users agree to a EULA when they purchase a license and most are unaware or even think about the fact that a separate license exists between the filter authors and the program authors. Neither do they consider that they are doing ...
Combining Images
Author: Kevin Worth. Modify the filter using filter editor, and replace the texture used with your own. I do that kind of thing all the time. As long as the texture isn't copyrighted and you have made it yourself, you should be able to submit it to the library. Good Luck

The images are to show what can be done using the filters on this site....to use the images themself would be a copyright infringment of this site. But you can get the filter and render your own version fairly easy

Restrict straight texture reselling.....give "tangible" copyrights and let authors protect them.....take advantage of the restriction to justify author storefronts to sell royalty-based texture packs with copyrights.....diffusing straight texture reselling at major sites and bringing all that business here....

it's not even important for the eula to be updated to do this, either. if a filter isnt submitted, we simply use those and those are FULLY covered by copyright law for the author. thus, ANY texture/effect created is covered and copyrighted. so, the author is protected and so would be the re-seller using those (with some contract between the author and re-seller).
now, that bypasses FF and the library,...

FF won't change the EULA to give authors tangible copyrights to protect them.....everything submitted to FF is totally restriction-free....so the only solution to prevent it is not to submit anything to FF.....sorry to say, but true....

... slapping yours on and reselling it," The only thing that I think people are interested in preventing is something tantamount to 'calling them your own'. At least that's the way I see it.
You can't take Scrapbooking paper, clip off the edge with copyright info, and resell it under the pretense of "I created it from scratch".
Or taking scrapbooking paper, running it through a color copier and reselling the sheets as your own, through another craft store.
Even at that, let's talk ...
