  • Image Import Control
... them. I agree though, multiple images would be a lot nicer. The distribution of imported images in the filter library is not going to happen as far as I know. The image itself would have to be saved along with the filter, which takes up space, and copyright issues could get in the way. When submitting a filter, many people find it useful to post examples in the filter comments, gallery, etc. instead.

  • Our Private Filter Library
Author: Sphinx.. Uh .. this idea about locking/obscuring/closing filters sounds awful to me; I thought we started out this discussion because we wanted to ensure proper copyright and attribution handling. It's fine with me that we also implement a simple shopping system, but I can't support something that essentially limits the creative possibilities.. Regarding the shopping part: I propose some sort of centralized ...

... unchanged. On a related note, there was a Terms of Use (http://www.filterforge.com/termsofuse.html) update related to user-submitted material other than filters (gallery works, forum posts, wiki edits etc.) that allows the submitters to retain their copyright in submissions -- a pretty standard part similar to what you'd see in any reasonable TOS of a submission-accepting website. ... doesn't watermark the image or anything? "The new EULA restrictions are not going to stop all the texture resellers from doing it.....but it will take a majority chunk out of it by stopping it at all the most popular sites who uphold copyright protection....." Indeed it won't stop, people don't read for one thing, but as you say people doing it that know about it will hopefully stop and people would be able to get the re-sellers packs taken down as you say. "and, the ...

... can do something to watermark the images on the site to prevent this type of farming, which actually does impede sales of their software. " Yeah, I'd be all for that. Frankly, I automatically assumed that the images on the website itself are copyrighted, it never even crossed my mind someone would claim the should be able to use them. LOL, I feel like I'm being really naive here thinking people would see that as automatic LOL.

  • Upcoming EULA changes, round 3
... New texture filters submitted AFTER proposed EULA in place..... + Authors use FF to market themselves and their filters..... + Authors and their filters get exposure..... + Authors get hired by employers like Fred (Sign Guy)..... + People buy author's copyrights to copy and resell texture preset paks..... + Quality of submitted texture filters increases..... _________________________________________________ = Increased profits for both FF and its' authors..... There is also a Terms of Use (https://filterforge.com/termsofuse.html) document on this site. As far as I know, I own the copyright to my filters, but by submitting them I have granted Filter Forge the right to distribute my filters on this public website. The quick answer is that you can use the filters on any graphics AND sell them as long as you own the rights to said ...

  • adding external images
Author: Morgantao. You can't upload a filter that uses external images because of the possibility someone will use copyrighted images to the library, and that's a legal swamp nobody wants to go to. If you want to upload your filter, simply change the images in the presets to the smaple images included with FilterForge. To do that, click File > Built-in preview ...

If it is shown that it is warranted or needed... Search CherryOS.... :D

.....but I hope it doesn't.....which is part of the reason why I'm suggesting alternatives to salvage and continuously grow a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship between authors and FF.....and subsequently why I would like to see author's result copyrights protected and a means (reward level) for authors to take advantage of it..... That went full-circle, eh??? ;) :D

... that modification is that you can make 'woodcuts' or images that look like they've been carved from wood and painted. oh, and you'll probably have to register on retouchpro to actually see the image in that post. sorry, i cant post it here due to copyrights of the original image.

... knock-off "pet rocks" were more rounded squares really, or rounded octagons, but they looked quite a bit like what you've got going on, since they were mass produced and made of some kind of cheap yet shiny glass. I do not know what the original copyrighted hall of fame real official "pet rocks" looked like however. That said, maybe "Lost Marbles" would be a decent name for it, since you are working on making some of the disappear from the picture ha-ha. Either that or "Gumball ...
