  • Jelly beans art making with a Filter Forge filter would be possible?
... on them" YES, this a great error and very BAD from Mongoose King :D :D BUT I know why he did not include it, because he has yet not received the authorization from the Jelly Belly Company to use their logo in each of the beans, as it has copyright ;)

  • Pattern Glass by Kochubey
... version on faulty shared code that is causing all the instability problems on both platforms (biggest mistake, IMHO.....they should have replaced that shared 3rd-party code and stabalized the program before moving onto the Mac version with it), tangable copyright protection with the EULA, progressive author incentives, etc etc etc.....so I think that I'm kinda getting the "end run/don't give that bastard an EP" treatment..... ;) :D LOL.....

... shows the shape used to create the bow ties, the finished bow tie, and the last application with the Emergency filter. Click on the image to enlarge. The bow ties are not made from public consumption outside of scrapbooking kits I create and are copyright. They are resized and compressed so have lost some quality to show via the comments section. • Could geometric shapes multiplication be possible inside FF ?
... mathematical constructions than are made by multipling and rotating the geometric shapes through many different points. Here are some examples I have found, but there are MANY more. These are some artworks made by the artist Jason Padgett and he owns the copyright This is shown only as example. http://www.consciousness.arizona.edu/TSC2011ArtPadgett.htm http://www.consciousness.arizona.edu/images/Jason4fusionfractal2cropAUTOCORRECTEDWHITEDARKBLACKINVERTED6_000.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vle_IZR-7PI/TPrB-9Z3IrI/AAAAAAAABGk/xLvxsnUBguc/s1600/wave-particle-duality-ii-jason-padgett....

  • FF Ultra Pro
... differently if FF was out there in the reseller channels competing head on with Alien Skin. " That's exactly what I wish FF would do with this.....take customers away from those sites and bring them here.....by selling all those FF texture results and copyrights separately from the program.....using it as an author incentive to bring in new authors and quality filter submissions.....creating profit for both FF and authors.....while also "magnetizing" and creating quite a "draw" ...

  • Upcoming EULA changes, round two
... Yep, it sure feels that way to me too. My thoughts are, that textures made by the user using our filters should belong to the user, but that the presets that the filter makers make should not be sold by people claiming they made them and hold the copyrights when they did nothing to create the presets except hit "save as". I hit "save as" on Disney pics but no way am I going to try and sell them as I know that they are not mine even if they are easy sells. Maybe FF can ...

  • Tigress by selmo
... Tigress with a variant of your spots algorithms. " I am cool with that. One thing I really like about this place is how open people are to sharing what they make. Its such a relief from other art communities where every second word it "copyright infringement" LOL Actually, maybe we can swap algorithm ideas....I would love to do a variation on your gator. I do alot of work with reptile textures, so that one really inspires me. Rawn

  • Acid Wash Photo Edge by Persidio
... the link there. So my advice is to burn a copy of the permissions and the images on a CD for personal use only as a backup. Then you have a backup for the images should 4 or 5 years down the road or even next year the page is not there anymore. The copyrights had run out and instead of selling the images she is offering free for graphics use---------> Run and download. ((( I loves her ))) Jean

  • Color Degrade by CFandM
... and put it in my favorites. Here is an image with this filter on it (two applications) :D :D :D Anyway I'll be using it quite a bit, thank you for creating it~ Oh ,,, the image is a 'true' very old image from the turn of the century ((copyrights ran out on it)),,, so Borderbund put them on a CD for sale ((I bought it years and years ago)) and when they did so the scanning was terrible. This filter gives her a modern look and makes her useable. Now I'm showing you the filter but I would ...

Author: Genie. • Upcoming EULA changes, round 4
Author: Carl. The discussion is open to everyone and your opinions are as valid as anyone elses, also I hate when cat fur get caught between my teeth :) "Sphinx wrote: For people that care more about the copyright of their work, you could offer CC licenses as an alternative. First of all, as I proposed, it would be perfectly fair to require submission under the current FF license if you want to be in the game of reward point hunting (mutual gain,...

  • Claiming "created by"
Author: Carl. This is not about all the debate on the eula and people rendering presets etc! What I want to know is where do I stand with people claiming my work as there own creation. As I am the creator of the texture and hold the copyright which I license to FF for people to download and use in whatever way they choose [ which is fine I don't have a problem with that ] but I do not give them the right to claim my work as there own creation/design/idea/illustration how ever you ...

  • just some odd images here and there
... which allows us to publish filters on the forums, but not the library, where we are NOT governed by the end user licensing, since that ONLY applies to filters published in the library. therefore, we could actually publish in the forums and retain all copyrights and licensing rights to those filters so posted. well, at least if the site rules dont limit it somehow. havent read those real closely. but based on the filter EULA's, i'd say it would then be illegal for re-sellers to sell textures from such ...

  • Upcoming EULA changes, round 3
... That's what most companies do unless the losses are worth a lawsuit. Unless there's a huge dipute over rights, most compamies do honor cease and desist notices. Espacially online marketplaces, if they by accident or due to not knowing didn't notice copyright violations. You keep talking about lawsuits, while lawsuits are the least likely outcome, and most extreme cases.

... own context. I have read your posts, hence my confusion, perhaps you need to read the EULA again, could solve some of your confusion. Anyways, I've no further need for your self serving condescension, I suggested some ideas toward the whole subject of copyright/legal use debate, and am done. Buy it, don't it, use it, don't use it, submit a filter, don't submit a filter, no one else cares, and if they do, well, then they make their choice "silently", and don't need to be rude about it. *shrug* ...

  • is this allowed?
... existing Filter Forge license." ----Sure, but other than Microsoft, show me someone who has ever won a Eula lawsuit. And even then, it doesn't trump any real laws or regulations, under which an unmodified preset falls into the automatically copyright protected from the-time-it-is-made as being a 'work of art' category of U.S. law. That said, good luck proving that it is "unmodified", as they could change one slider by 0.01 and it'd be technically modified. It really is a moot point,...

  • Question about advanced text CFandM
... used blender to make a etch a sketch frame for a photo of my daughter It really looked good --so I got to thinking I could probably reproduce that with ff preaty easily Here is my dilema One By putting etch a sketch on it it would be violating a copyright but most folks wouldnt want FF on their frame so Ive been toying with advanced text snippet by CFandM and really have no idea what to place there any ideas would be welcome or should I just place a square area in the frame and tell ...
