  • HELP! How to download and install user filters?
... preview loading errors on the Misc. filters page - just cleared cache, and tried again). If anyone else has such user filter downloading problems, you might try using Filter Forge's built-in Library Viewer: Tools > Options > Online > Use the built-in library browser(obsolete), from within the standalone program. This may be an "obsolete" tool, but for now it works well on Win7 x64 and Firefox. Also, using this Library Viewer you can download scores of filters at the same time. And I now realize ...

  • Possible Synchronization between FF website and Filter Forge Library ?
... "SpaceRay wrote: Please, GMM: Will it be possible that in the future this feature could be implemented in Filter Forge? " First, it's not me but Vladimir Golovin who's the decision maker here. Second, it's already implemented in the built-in library browser. Try switching to it on the Online tab in Options, then click the 'Download More Filters' button.

  • Can you back-up the filters
Author: Crapadilla. You can go to 'Tools > Options > Online tab and activate the 'built-in library browser', which allows for mass-downloading. Also, by default all library filters are located in the "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Filter Forge\System" folder, which you could backup. • FF 6 and WINE on Linux seems to work!
... it's been able to load one of the default filters, change settings and draw the changes. I may be able to delete my WinWhatever virtual machine. ADDING: I get an error when trying to download more filters by browser ... it appears to be a WINE/browser problem, not FF If I use the "obsolete" built-in FF method, it can download filters. ADDING MORE: Alas, if I try to open an image to apply the creative effects, it can't open the file. Again, it's WINE not understanding the commands. So, it's back to the VM. Sigh.

  • Why are certain filters acting screwy?
Author: tigerAspect. Size slider is at max, they're a mix of Surface and Simple, using the default presets. I've deleted and re-downloaded the filters at least 4 times using both the web interface and built-in filter browser. I'm convinced that this is a bug, because I distinctly remember rendering Cemetery Fence before with no problems. I'm using 10.6.3, if that makes a difference.

  • Filter Editor FAQ - Questions Needed
Author: Torley. ^ Aha, therein lay my confusion because... I thought that built-in library browser was meant to be deprecated, or the "old way" of doing things? I'm still puzzled about this. It's more integrated and seems like a better way (at least in some respects) to collect new filters, so is it not planned to be continually developed,...

Author: Kraellin. "I'd advise against that as it completely slows down FF, but (in case you feel terribly masochistic) you could go to 'Tools > Options... > Online tab' and select 'Use the built-in library browser (obsolete)'. Fire the browser via the 'Download more Filters' button, then hit CTRL+A in a category of your choice and 'Add to Downloads'. Repeat for all categories, hit 'Download' and don't hold your breath... • Q: Dwonloading-importing Filters.
Author: Colorblast. Hi All, I'm wanting to download all the filters from FF, but when I select Tools > Options > Online, I find the "Use The Built-in Library Browser" has Obsolete in backets. Do I take this to mean that this option is no longer reliable to use? If so, then is there another way for installing all the fiters rather than one-by-one (taking forever)? Cheers.

  • 3D filter preview
Author: Vladimir Golovin. Fantastic idea. I was like, how on Earth could this thing work so fast and smooth in my browser, but then I remembered that I have Firefox 4, which probably has WebGL built-in. Works perfectly by the way. (We tried to implement a similar feature, but we didn't use WebGL. We used plain canvas with Javascript rendering, but the result wasn't anywhere near as fast as your version.)

  • How to keep filters save... ??
... by one ?" Well, you can purchase (https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/product_info.html?productid=300319365) the whole filter library on a CD for just EUR 14.95. This is the most speedy way I can think of. An alternative would be to use the built-in filter browser. Instead of downloading the 400 filters at once try downloading by smaller portions, for example, select 50 filters and download them, then repeat.

  • Problem Importing Filters
... If you wish to transfer filters, you should do the following: 1. Make sure Filter Forge is installed correctly on the machine with the Internet connection. 2. Enable the old-style Filter Library in Tools > Options > Online > Use the built-in library browser. 3. Go to the Library (click the "Download More Filters" button) and download the filters you need. 4. Then transfer the downloaded .ffxml files to the offline machine together with the LibraryStructure.xml file. Alternatively, ...

  • FF crashes when submitting a Filter to the Library
... seem to be related: FF crashes randomly when accessing the internet. It happens when it goes online to fetch a filter, when it accesses the servers for logging in to submit a filter, or when actually submitting a filter. It also happens when using the built-in filter browser. It seems to only happen after editing stuff, like a filter, or filter info (which can be done inside the submit wizard and is probably confusing the issue). I'm on and Intel iMac, but this also happens on my old G5 tower.

  • Download problem
Author: jffe. "Bella wrote: What about downloading via the built-in library browser (old-style Filter Library)? The same problem? " ----I didn't try it that way. • Updated to Catalina and FF can no longer connect to server
Author: Ade. Hi, I just have the built-in Firewall in Catalina on. It is allowing all outgoing connections as far as I can tell. However in a browser window II can go to https://www.filterforge.com ok but when I attempt to go to https://www.filterforge.net I get the following messages: Safari reports this: Safari can't open the page "https://www.filterforge.net" because Safari can't ...

... only ones availible in the filter......The websites presets will have those 4 plus (I think) random presets..... But I have not submitted any filters with less then eight presets since the newest version of Filter Forge..... ;) :D IF you use the built-in browser you can see what presets are availible in what filters.... :)

  • New Version Request.
... updates it under FF 2.0, the users of the version 1.X will be able to download the latest version which was compatible with 1.X. If a filter was made in 2.0, users of earlier versions won't be able to download it. This was already implemented in the built-in Filter Browser, but we didn't do it for the website yet. I don't expect any problems here.
