I'm really rather torn on what to do with these filters. I love some of the results, but there are 21 user controls on each of them!:-p
Essentially, there are two copies of the same noise used: one controls the actual deformation of the surface, and the other produces an optional overlay of colors. The scale, stretch, etc... of the two are linked, so the overlay will fit the deformation... but the roughness, contrast, and colors are independent for each one, to allow for a great deal of variation.

I made a little tool "FFSubstitute".
It is a GUI based tool to substitute multiple filenames of images in a Filter Forge (5) filter (actually in a copy of it).
Images of Color Controls with names that match the pattern Image##xyz will be replaced (substituted) by the sel ected filenames in FFSubstitute. So it is possible to substitute 999 image names at once (Image##001 .. Image##999)!

Gradient not passed on properly to a group
... went inside both groups, plugged the controls direcly into group outputs, then went to the top level and compared each group using blend with difference + levels (see the attached filter).
Both differences are exactly zero, and there's no noise in Color Inspector which means they're likely passed through without any processing.
Please modify this example so that it clearly shows the difference, preferably using difference+levels.

The beads are made from my diamonds filter. ((A diamond was cut out)). To get a diamond you have to look at the 'about' screen for that filter. The filter has to be applied on a solid back ground of a certain color.

... back to your question, copy the folder to your desktop, and delete the old folder, sounds wierd but it works. For somereason the new OS is very, very safe when it comes to un-approved software, and FF seems to be one of those. Sucks because with the colors of FF and the amazing software they made they need to be working for mac =P. (please dont start the "Mac is overpriced discussion here.")
