Controls allow for color, depth, amount of metalizing, wrinkle, blur and saturation. The filter works great on external images.

Author: jffe. Cool. I knew it could do some simple emboss looks, since that's what it's based on really. The dark silvery stuff is pretty weird looking, I hadn't seen it quite like that before, and there's some oddball mixes between the looks that surely someone can find useful somehow eh. :)

Need a water texture.
Author: CorvusCroax. So, I tried an alternate method. Just hit it with Apple's 'Get in the Pool': take the result and blend using the depth alpha, and add the little bevel and emboss layer effect. I think I like this one better, actually.
Dropped the saturation a bit and added an inner shadow, also.

Stevie has a a few metallic emboss ones but if its a different method for getting the same effect thats good also :)
Filter Component

The ability to use a filter as a component would mean manageability, for example a drop shadow or emboss filter is used everywhere, and copying/pasting all those nodes for that simple operation makes for really messy graphs. Being able to use a filter AS a component within other filter graphs would be a welcome addition.
Bevel Emboss in FF?

Author: CorvusCroax. See those little ripples on the shallow end, and around the edges? I cheated: that's a layer style effect, using trusty old bevel and emboss. Here are the settings:
Keep in mind that you want fairly small little ripples. They're just the surface tension of the edges. Too large of ripples will look make your water look like jell-o.
